How about neither, because Intel has the best chipsets.

    fan-boy tard...

Atm i would say the VIA kt800pro chipset although the new nforce3 DFI board has had nothing but praise.

    So i dunno.

for athlon 64s via k8t800 and nforce3 250gb are evenly matched as far as performance, stay away from the nforce3 150 though. For athlon xp's nforce2 all the way. Nothing can beat it.

    Uh, cheers :worried: ;)

People forget the K8T800pro. And VIA have a new chipset in the midst anyway if you can wait 2 days.

I didn't know Caerdydd had a "soccer" team. :D And famous in the US aswell. Where have I been?

Would that chipset be their first proper PCI-X offering?

:hehe: But seriously it's platform dependent, but Nforce 3 is very nice.

FOR THE LAST TIME! IT'S PCI-'E'xpress not pci-X. sorry but it's about time people started getting it right.

If VIA did release a socket 939 chipset with PCI-E support then they'd definately have the edge over nforce4 if they can get them out soon.

Although if they are only just announcing it then i guess it might not hit shops for a couple of months making it released possibly around the time of Nforce4 anyway. hmmmm
