Please excuse the 'dump' of images. I guess it's just been a long while since I felt like sharing anything at all and these past few days I've been feeling a bit better, so here's some I felt like sharing. The guy in the pics is my dad btw. All except the last shot are with the D700 and 35mm F2D, while the last was with the 24-70.
Not been on in a while - here's a couple of the last gig I shot: Caught Off Guard @ The Hop (Leeds) by rinsewand, on Flickr Caught Off Guard @ The Hop (Leeds) by rinsewand, on Flickr RwD
RwD - nice shots Greg - I liked the one with the nuts (?!) in the corner. Good stuff EDIT: (click for big)
You're right. It came down to losing contrast vs hot shirts. I wanted the skin tones more than shirt details. It didn't bother me as long as there was no CA or bleeding.
Can't you use a localised thing to bring the detail back? I know that in NX2 you can (control point). Skin still looks a bit overexposed to me.
I could later, after editing 980 images from this event, 870 from the one the next day and the 500 from the day after that. Seriously, If I feature that for anything promotional, I probably will take your advice.
Admittedly not pictures I've taken recently but considering I've just managed to finally remember my flipping Flickr login I thought I would put up a few from Glastonbury earlier this year. Contact Juggling on Flickr Neigh!! on Flickr
Sums it all up in one image. Brendan Murphy, July 1997. Thomas McMullan 2001, an image that is plastered all over YouTube and indeed the media at the time. Images taken from this collection. (click 'more pictures' to see all)
Promised to take a benji shot of her, I think this turned out OK. And for something totally different.
#1 is brilliant, if a little underexposed for my taste. #2, conversely, is a little overexposed (the iPod/MP3 player thingy).
No offence but isn't this thread supposed to contain photos you ACTUALLY TOOK YOURSELF!!! (IRA pics posted by Canon).
Yeah I spent a good while trying to decide on the exposure with the bungee. Somehow it just always looks wrong. And the Domo.. Well I really didn't care about the mp3-player. It's there just to show what the thing is about and the shot was taken at 1 AM after we got him ready..
As I finally got a camera, here's one shot for today. A bear outside of my post office And a local memorial for glorious dead.
I like the bear. Performer at the Santa Monica pier. I suck at people photography, so I'm trying to do more of it.
