This is awesome! I was wondering when someone would take on the task of making an mATX version of the Compact Splash. I dig the design cues you took from that case.

Really interested in seeing how this progresses.

I would of liked this more if it wasnt a copy of the Compact Splash case......

You have the tools to make something unique right there.

I really have, but the thing is that it is intentional, it is supposed to be a M-ATX tribute to the Compact splash! :D

    The painting

This is the painting result, must say I am satisfied since this was my first time ever powdercoating. Great that they made me do it myself!
I had to do some pushing and bending with the PSU. Hard to fit it all in there...

Once again, thanks to Anna @ Silverstone for fixing this one for me!

Eventually I got it all cramped in there, and looks great to be honest! Although, I feel like I should have changed the fan because it make some noise....

Here is the hooks, too bad they did not go in all the way.... No good way to file it down either...

Great thing is that the HyperX Fury RAM matches the paint perfectly!

Had to cut some screws to make it fit in the radiator tho :D

But but but ... it is unique!

Splashes are made of steel. This one is aluminium. Yet it's strong enough to hold more components than the original. When I saw the design first, back in July, I doubted it. Told him it won't be strong enough. But he's really done his homework and it worked out well. Plus he's only a young 'un - seventeen!

Clean build, nice to look at, small footprint, 4x120mm rad in under 20 litres - not to be dismissed so lightly! :thumb:

(And I say this despite having a white-with-blue-highlights Compact Splash of my own)

    this is cool
one thing i'm not really into, are the way the wires from the psu steals, pretty much, all of the show...

but the color scheme is really nice and the whole process form design to finished product is well documented, and the case is well fitted with a lot of power - "thumbs up!"

Have to agree with you 100% here.

Absolutely stunning build and design, apart from the PSU location, it robs the entire clean look this machine has with the way the PSU blocks the board and CPU waterblock and also the way the cables run all over the show.

Other than that, it's absolutely stunning and prefectly executed. :thumb:

    Nice system! Looks very cool.

One small point that i saw: I think your power button can be nicer, i see there is a hex ring behind the button, if you remove that and place it behind the panel i think its even better.

    Other than that great job!

    Thanks!

    Thanks Tim <3

Same, there was this compromise about having small case vs having PSU somewhere else.
    Thanks Storm!

Thanks Warn00b! With the PSU in that position made it SFF, at a volume of 18,9 Liters.
Would I have put it somewhere else you would have had 22 liter + :(
So this was compact > great looking

Thanks! Finally someone points that out , the thing is that the button is too long and hits the radiator on the other side. So I have to find a smaller button. Therefore the hex ring is on the wrong side :)

    Thanks twister :3

    So what will happen now?

Except for the selling of my case, this is what is next on my list ;)
