Looking very nice. I like that this is a radical departure from everyone else making else as small as possible :)

Where will the death star super laser go? ;)

leave them on if you like it because you already did them so let them on, and they look sweet .
    keep up the good work.

    This is a redo update

I was never happy with this look
    [IMG]
so I change it to this
    [IMG]
this is how it looks in place now
    [IMG]
I relocated the other three switches here
    [IMG]

Now something new, a light bar to illuminate the WC RES with UV light
    [IMG]
goes in the left side of the case at an angle
    [IMG]
the final result, at the end it might not be seeing from the front; because it goes behind the doors
    [IMG]

This is the mess of wires that I'm dealing with, right now
    [IMG]

I'm falling behind the building of cables and the wiring is taking longer than expected. I'm trying to keep the RES from been cover by cables and like you see, it won't be easy; I still have to add more cables to it.

    Thanks for watching....

    cabels

:jawdrop: :jawdrop: this are many cabels. I hope your motherboard doesnt get too hot with all the stuff above. Will you warp these cabels together somehow or wil you leave this green "jungle" like it looks now?
    greetings Paul :thumb:

Not for now, I decided to leave it, because it will get scratch by the constant plugging and unplugging of stuff.

    Thanks.
I had promised at the beginning of this work log, that this project was going to be something different.

The death star super laser, can be added later on top of the case.

    Thanks.

Will see about it later, thanks.

Those were just 2/3 of all the cables going into the case. The MOBO will not get heat from anything, remember the case is divided in three areas of cooling.
The heat of the HDs or the WC would not get into the MOBO area. The MOBO area of the case has 5 intake fans and 4 exhaust fans.
I will try my best to organize them, thanks.

    Thanks for watching.

wow man really a nice work and i love the part you redid and for the cable why not just simply get them around the res (if it is possible) it would still let you see the res (i think)
you will come up with something cool as usual.
keep up the good work .

Todays log is the build of the front doors.

I build a frame out of plexi and glued in place
    [IMG]
this are the doors, already cut; the center will be left clear
    [IMG]
fitting the doors to the frame
    [IMG]
painting the door frame, the hard way
    [IMG]
the doors are painted and bolted in place
    [IMG]
next picture is after adding the green plexi trim
    [IMG]
    a picture from another angle
    [IMG]

The doors came out good, but they are not finish yet.

see you guys at the next post.....

Today I will finish the right side of the case.

Got to cover that big hole in the middle.
I had made this cover for it, long time ago; but I wasn't happy with the final look
    [IMG]
after assembling the controllers. I don't like it, too much green showing
    [IMG]
I decided to add this black trim with some thumbscrews; now it looks better
    [IMG]
    the hole is cover
    [IMG]
a couple of pictures from different angles
    [IMG]
now the controllers look better and they match the color scheme
    [IMG]
don't mind the piece of tape
    [IMG]
I'm happy with the final result
    [IMG]

See you guys at the next post.....

P.S. The case was finish yesterday night, I'm using the PC to make this post; I still had a lot of software bugs to work out, but is getting there. :thumb:

    Thanks for watching....

looking very good :), the only thing i would change is the thumb screws on the control panel. Personally i dont think they go very well.

any chance of a full front shot of the case?

Well its finally finished, one hell of a project and one hell of a finished product, I am really, really impressed with it and so should you CrazyModder. But I do have a few questions: For one, whats the capacity of that res, and how many bottles of "juice" you put in there? Also, how many hard drives are there in there now? Have you filled all the drive bays, or do you still have to buy a few more hard drives to fill that baby?

    Thanks.

    Thanks

    Thanks.

Project is the right word, it was a lot of work. I'm happy I finished it, but I'm kind of down; because is over. I should have done a better job , I still lack skills and more experience.

Capacity of the RES is close to 1/2 Gal.
I got 6 Hds, working at the moment, but I'm having software problems with the Raid in the MOBO. I had to change the MOBO to a MSI combo FR, the asus got a problem with the memory. I got the other six ready to go, but if I can't get the raid to work, I can only add 4 more HDs. I'm not buying any more hardware for this mod, so it will stay with whatever I can make work with. :waah: I'm really frustrated, at this moment I'm thinking about sell it, trash it or mod it.

    Thanks
