At my liquor store, we were in need of a computer to keep track of club (wholesale) orders and print those invoices. The pen&paper approach was becoming longer and more tedious every day that we had a larger club order. Then, one of our salespersons had the bright idea of setting up a Jägermeister display in the front of the store.... He gave us one of these: Nothing too spectacular going in this computer, it is just going to be an internal webserver running my wholesale order software (and maybe pipe some music into the store) Motherboard: Biostar M-ATX M7NCG400 CPU: AMD Duron 1.8GHz HDD: Samsung 40GB 7200RPM Ram: 1GB offbrand stuff Please post your comments here
Project Jägerbox : November 12th, 2005 Please make your comments here as I progress through my project. Keep in mind, this is my first non-standard computer case that I've ever used. The Jägerbox
I want one of those ;D but i think those are pretty nice to cool the jägermeister. In one of my favorite bars they have one and everytime we order some jägers they are perfetcly chilled.
unfortunatly, this one was gutted for the display... but it makes a nice computer case none the less (in fact its installing the OS now!) more pics of my worklog to be uploaded soon
Next I went to work mounting the PSU into the case... Ran into a problem (my mistake... mismeasurment) Here is the culprit... which got cut off
Next was the DVD drive... Fit nicely (and tight enough not to need mounting screws) I used my trusty gloss black paint marker to paint that unsightly grey
Next I went to work on the running LED's (if you've ever seen this box at a bar, it had ugly ropelights around it... I decided to have nightrider leds running up and down the sides of the case I will be using LCDC(tm) to control these LEDs so I can actually make them do any pattern that I wish And the ugly wire mess (which will be all nice and neat when the top goes on) you can barely make it out but the third led from the left is actually lit up meaning... IT WORKS yay!
After mounting the motherboard, PSU, dvdrom I get this Heres a shot of the back with my nice 120mm blue led fan (not lit up of course) and the Matrix Orbital LK204-24-USB All of the wires will be going under the case and through a hole in the counter The reason being, I wanted to *try* and keep this case looking like it did when I got it.. and the monitor is going to be under the counter as well... works it fine
I was just about to comment on the injustice of butchinering a perfectly good drink cooler! looks like a fun case good work
