Scratch Build – In Progress Project: LAN Truck (My First Mod)

Hi all Fitted the under lighting on to the truck today,

The side panel is not fitted on correctly at the moment, as i am awaiting the 7" tft. Hopefully will have it by the end of the week!

Hi, Tft arrived today. Got it all working before i start to mod it!! Also got some nice little Sony speakers that fold out. Hopefully going to build them into the cab!

So now drawing up the cad data to fit it all in, might have something by sunday

At the moment, the volume and all the other MSI cube buttons look like they were just random placed. Are you gonna paint the cabin with some striping/whatsoever so that the buttons have a logical place there? (sorry, my english isn't jet enough developed to actualy be clear in this sentence).

This is the standard layout of the cube buttons... Once the screen is fitted the whole lot will look a lot tidier!

The whole truck is to be airbrushed at some point which will be once the truck is finished.

Where can I get a CNC Mill and how much are they?

 

you better save your money for a while, they can be from $4000-to like around $50,000 for the best one's (i think) they are great peice of machinery but expensive to my knowledge

 

and big to
i seen a cnc mill wich is about 5 meters long 1.5 meters wide and 1.5 meters high

 

This is a pretty nice mod! I want to see more! You should install hydraulics on to the truck so you can enter the lan party in even more style ^^

Hi all my mill takes up half of the garage so about 3m square floor space, and only just fits height wise. I was lucky to get this mill did not cost me much compared to the value, about half the cost! took awhile to get all the 3 phase fitted i can tell you, but well worth the wait. I bought the mill from work, when they bought a new one! so hence the decent price.
Here is a picture of some of the trucks panels on the mill.

and here it is placed into the truck.

I have still yet to make the front aluminium panel, so hence the fram work look. Also here is a pic of it lit up

hi all
Done some work on the truck today got the tft mounted onto the frame and the new custom buttons made for the tft display!


I have also now put Playstation2 ports and Xbox ports under the tft. Makes for the ultimate gamer now
