Didn't see this one coming at all :(

Soundgarden were a big part of my teenage years, and I remember waiting for HMV to open to get Audioslave's debut album on release day...

Bummed big time by this :(

Lucky enough to see him twice.

Only one of the grunge greats left now.

This is pretty shocking. Only 52, which is no age at all. I was a massive Soundgarden fan back in the early nineties. :(

I still binge on it when I'm really depressed. Rusty Cage deserves a mention too.

    Yeah this sucks.

I saw Audioslave live years ago and damn that was good. Such a shame....

Agreed. Soundgarden was basically the soundtrack to my teenage years.

Black Hole Sun, SuperUnknown, Mailman, Fell on Black Days, She Likes Surprises, Flower, Hunted Down, Hands All Over, Loud Love, Jesus Christ Pose, Pretty Noose, Dusty, Blow Up the Outside World, Mind Riot, Bleed Together... those are just the one I can remember. What was that other one on Badmotorfinger? Searching With My Good Eye Closed. Always liked that one too.

Excuse me, that sounds like a reasonable nucleus for an evenings playlist.

Terrible news. The details seem to be unknown at the moment.

Spoonman, Black Rain, Burden in my hand, black hole sun.. just to mention a few in addition to above, so many classics.

I was never a big fan of much of Audioslave's work but that hardly diminishes the mans talent.

    RIP
