I don't know if this has been suggested before, but it might be a nice idea for the project logs forum. How about a button to filter every post except those made by the person who started the thread? I know this would remove a lot of useful discussion type posts, but if I've been away a while and there is a big thread, it would be nice to be able to filter everything except the log itself. Should be a doddle to code too Max
maybe give the auther mod abilites in his/her thread, i know i dont want to see spam but i love reading and helping people with thier questions, so the aboive sugestion might be over kill. maybe a heavily enforced no spam rule as the newcomers seem not to read the rules. there have also been many misposts recently from newcommers maybe you could encorperate the rules into the signup page in a not so subtle way
My idea was to have it user selectable. When I read a long thread, it would be good to just hit a button to filter out all of the posts except those by the thread starter. If there a response to what looks like a good question, I can click the button again to reveal all the posts and read the conversation. Max
I've already got the code to do that and there was a post about it in the mods forum, I reckon it's a good idea too
