Doc. Well done. I assume no intention of retiring and letting us try to catch you up?! I passed the 4bn a couple of days ago on the way to catching up with Nelio who I recall added many points for the team in a short time while doing night shifts. Still no 3000 series available for unless we are willing to pay scalpers prices but I wonder if they will come down when 4000 series are launched?
@desertbaker: I'm not planning on retiring just yet I'm afraid; I rebuilt all my machines last year so as to be able to pop in some RTX 3xxx cards ... but the cards seem like the 'paper' launches of old. I'm not stopping anyone trying to catch me up though
@DocJonz: Darn! Seriously, if you find a stock of 3000 series at 'proper' prices, please let us know and I will likewise.
Its been very quiet on the Folding Forum ... I've just been looking at my personal F@H stats; It suggests I have contributed to nearly 0.10% of the total points for F@H - I thought my contribution would have been much, much smaller than that when you look at some of the 'big boys' and the total number of people involved On a team note, it looks like I have contributed to just over 15% for our team ... I'm doing my best for 'CustomPC & Bit-tech' (I've also just opened up a 10Bn point lead at the top of our team ... sorry guys )
Managed to break into the top 20 producers this week for Bit-Tech. Now does anyone want to sell me a cheap 3060 to replace this 960 so I can go for top 10?
I don't know about the other folks on the team, but I've been looking for sensibly priced RTX 3070 cards since Sept/Oct last year ... no luck so far
Hopefully the impending crypto crash whispers are true and the second hand market will be flooded. I can see people playing it clever and drip feeding cards on the 2nd hand market to recover as much as possible and buying anything that goes on low. What are the best ppw cards on the market these days?
Might as well celebrate something. Just hit 40million points (kinda missed it and 100k short of 41M). Up to 172 overall in the team page so continuing my assault on the top 100. Apparently gonna be another 8months until I break that target. Still waiting for GPU pricing to improve before picking up the 960 replacement
