Trying to make Access do things I know I can do in Excel quite easily but really need to do it in a simple database.

I used to know how to do this kind of thing but that was 7 years ago in 6th form and I can't find my notes.

Or the alternative is trying to get SAGE to do things I think it might not be able to do.

    It's very frustrating.

    Working at a place that:

Has three bosses of whom two are utter idiots both human and economicly. Who want me and a collegue to do a market analysis, a feasibility study and a business plan for a new software product for a market that basically has no publically accesable information, all in 10 days while the only collegue that has contacts to the market is on holiday.

I basically coudln't care less if there wasn't the following problem:

The result of the above mentioned determines if my collegue and I are further employed or not. If we are employed further, our pay will be the same as in our third year of apprenticeship, we will have to programm the software ourselves. After three months, the product will be reviewed and IF it's going in the right direction (what the f*** do I need to do feasibility study and a business plan for then!?), we will be employed for further three months. If the product then is finished, our contract will be extended. We will have to personally take care of distribution and sales and get no help whatsoever while programming and selling, but 60% of the sales will go to the bosses...

Now seriously!? I might as well do the analysis and the study and the plan while I'm here... get paid for the time, quit, open up my own company and keep 100% of the sales... why on earth should I stay here!?

Looking for a new job as I write this... :wallbash:

Somehow I don't think going off to college is going to take away the stresses of this summer.

One week out from finals I was looking to have 2 A-'s. I ended up with an A- and a B- which dropped my GPA by over .25 pts

Currently working on a big project at work. I'm a network engineer, and we're redesigning our infrastructure for a VMware deployment.

The kit we require to terminate the new IP address ranges solely on the new infrastructure, we now cannot have until next fiscal year.

    So, we're still expected to:

    - Support the new IP ranges
    - Without the equipment we need to do so
    - Without adding complexity
    - Without impacting the existing infrastructure negatively (these two are why we needed new kit)
    - All of that, NOW, and the kit we have been allowed to buy, doesn't arrive for a week.

yeah.. I was clocked at 75 in a 55, but the officer wrote it as 65 in a 55, because I have a pretty good record. It still sucks though. How bad is it in WA for going more then 20 over? Here if its 20-25 over in a 55, its a misdemeanor and you can lose your license.

Not sure on 20 over, but in WA I've gotten 15 (75 in 60) over and 8 (48 in 40) over, both times the officer marked it down to 5 over and it was just shy of $100.

Worst part about the second one is that I know it was set up. It was kinda late on a Friday night and I was traveling along a road with a pretty infamous bar just a mile away from where I was ticketed. Officer was just waiting in a dark shoulder to catch people going 5+ over so he could try to find drunk drivers. Don't get me wrong, drunk driving is bad, but it's sick how obviously they pull over everything they can in the hopes they are drunk, and just ticket them for whatever they can find if they aren't.
