Looks like the EKWB order will be delivered today !

in the meantime - a quick side note:
...recently (and surprisingly) I received a PSU that was DOA - and, of course, after a run of more than a dozen similar models, this one was not bench tested prior to installation :eyebrow: . . . and there is nothing more disappointing then being "all done" ... pressing 'ON', and ... nothing :duh:

so ... just for fun - picked up this little item . . . now can do quick PSU tests :thumb:
(of course, still need to do the loaded motherboard power-up test prior to installing into the case :nono: ... no longer have that 100% run-rate !:hehe: )

:hehe:  :naughty: . . . I think this item was a hand-me-down from my 13 year old son - since he has migrated to fully digital :thumb:

Sounds familiar. I inherited a ton of map drafting gear, but I have little use for it in the digital age.

    Next up:
tackling the twin pump mounting strategy ...

looks like the easy solution is just - use the existing 4 x (35mm x 3.5mm) slots for the left side - then drill 4 holes for the right side - and bolt in the pump brackets

two potential issues are _ placement will be critical for successful loop fitment, and _ possible interference with the port side Res or Distro . . . and there is no place to hide screw-ups in this open case arrangement

(also, I'm not well known for taking the 'easy solution' :nono: :naughty: :hehe: ... at least, that's what I'm told )

Warning - Ports down is not a recommended position for the pumps.
The easy solution depends on the solver's skill set. :)

Installation of the EK-Quantum Vector Dual EVO RTX 2070/2080 and the EK-Vector Dual Evo RTX 2070/2080 Backplate now completed.

Kudos to EK for a straight forward installation, good instruction, and no issues encountered . . . will be pulling together the installation video.

I must say - that EK Nickel Chrome backplate is quite impressive.

Are you going to use screws and O-rings, or plexi fuse the whole thing?

    Great point!
... the plexi fuse approach is most likely the best logical solution ... of course, I've never let that kind of thinking get in the way of executing a project

I think screws and O-rings has a bit sexier feel and will better fit the overall motif.
