What do you guys think about the " Asus Sabertooth " I am thinking about getting it for my new rig. http://uk.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=AM2RChl84MZrKh6J&templete=2
Not to sure about the chocolate colour slots, but from the few bits I've read it looks like a decent board. It would be good to see how well it overclocks.
Sabertooth brand is there extra well made brand i think. Not so much extreme performance like there ROG mobo's but take alot of hammer and long life
Its a really good mobo, high-end. I doubt a lot of people will like the army camo look though. http://www.guru3d.com/article/asus-tuf-sabertooth-x58-review/
sorry to break your dream but x58 sabertooth wont be availible in the UK. ASUS UK themselves said it on facebook. unless you want to pay to import the cheesecake from the USA, then im afraid its not possible to buy it from uk retailers.
I'm pretty sure they're on sale in the UK: Scan OCUK and the fact that I'm using one in one of my rigs...
Haha, yeah the first place I found it was on OCUK. Looks like this is the motherboard I will be getting then if nobody has anything bad to say about it. I was not a big fan of the colour to start with but they seem to be growing on me as I look at it more. Would this refined x58 chipset board be a safer bet than a new x68 or whatever is coming next? Obviously you can only speculate but it is nice to hear other peoples opinions. Is the rampage 3 really worth £150 more even if i'm not going to crossfire 4 cards? ( how much better do you think it will oc etc.)
