Quick Render need more editing. Whats the best place to get materials for cinema 4d ? Cinema 4D R12 Google Sketchup
Most of the official Cinema4D material repositories are very out-dated(and so look like trash), I create all mine from scratch. I know I have some material packs on renderosity and deviantart(free) so you may wish to look there.
not to knock on your render your circle for the fan needs more surfaces then 24 you have a nice arc at the PCIe x16 slot that looks smooth yet you can clearly define the edges in the circle on the fan hole if its just a plane and not a solid (i.e. 3 dimensions to it) then just fill it back in and select your circle tool type in a higher number (50 or 100) before you start drawing then re draw the hole and voila! it will be smooth
Dark - holy ^#$^!!!! - that is very well done! I think I have asked before, but what setup are you using? And how many hours in layout was this one, and how long / how many passes was this render? Is this part of the house you were working on? ( You were the person designing a new home correct? )
thanks I'm using 3ds max 2010 and vray 2.0, modeling and texturing took about 4-6h although it's not finished, and rendering took about 20mins. It's not part of that house i've posted earlier, it's just some small 8x7m house.
Had to make some recycle bins.. (rotational plastic...) Buggered up on the normals with the whale....
Thanks dark! I'm using Maya 2011 and MR for this one, but I'm currently learning Max aswell (mostly for the Cebas plugins as Houdini is seriously difficult to get into). Eagerly awaiting the 2012 versions of them both
Started making a watch this morning (couple of hours modeling) ... Not finished yet... Doubt i got the gamma right...
