Both Asda and tesco do 2nd hand console games now.

Noticed a little sticker under the pre-order box yesterday in the local Tesco - it's £25 when you buy either a £20 PSN card or an xbox live membership card (or MS Points card can't remember which)

Sell on Ebay and get double the vaule they're offering. Trade in schemes are piss takes tbh, especially when the store goes on to sell it for £5 cheaper than the game new.

Been reading that a lot of people have been having terrible issues with the PC version. People running Gulftown + GTX480 systems are getting ridiculous lag spikes, apparently there's either a memory leak or some real shitty optimization, only in the MP version though. Hopefully there'll be a patch out soon as I pre-ordered for ~ £30

Oh, Call of Duty: Rehash 5 came out?

I was too busy playing the Scott Pilgrim vs. The World game on PSN, which is a good game.

I still can't believe some people are happy paying £40+ for a game. They could probably charge £100 and people would still buy it, it's like an addiction to a drug. Maybe they should of called it Call Of Duty - Crack Ops?

At least 3 of the ASDA stores in the Birmingham area do have a second hand games section.

Prices are not very good even on older games. Also I have yet to see any PC games, just Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and NDS. Mind you they sell very few PC games anyway and concentrate on the consoles so its no great surprise.

IIRC a used copy of F1 2010 was only £3 cheaper than a new copy and quite a few of the things I might have been interested in I could buy new cheaper like Red Dead Redemption, Alan Wake and Heavy Rain.

I don't get it. EA are doing Project Ten Dollar to reduce 2nd hand sales, and then all the retailers beg us to trade in games... what?

My local Asda has recently started selling preowned games and the prices seem pretty good. Console only of course, but they still at least have a PC section with decent prices, it's pretty much restricted to only chart games and a few others, probably 20-30 different games.

So -this trade in offer. no mention on the HMV website. Is this for all versions or just console?

My local Asda has a preowned section, but a grand total of 4 PC game titles, 2 of those being football manager 2010 and football 2011.

I'm a pretty shocked that the pricing is well above the other latest games, don't get me wrong from the look of it, it's prob amazing.

    play.com prices

    (PC prices)

call of duty: black ops - £34.99
    Fallout: New vegas - £23.99
    Civilization 5 - £24.99

Even on steam the price is about £10 more exspensive the above.

Activision - Theres pricing to suit the game but your taking the p*%£

I've stopped buying games altogether. Whenever I get a new game, I rarely get more than 15mins in before getting spammed over steamchat by my team. <3 counter-strike Cheesecake!

Interesting that we expect all games to cost the same isn't it. Not all cars are the same price, not all food is the same price, so why games?

Some games are more expensive to make than others and sometimes we do see that with arcade style games and these big AAA titles. At the end of the day, the game is the price it is, if you don't like it stop moaning and wait for it to get cheaper whilst everyone else gets on with the killing.

Exactly why I never even purchased any of the other Call of Duty's. By the time the game has dropped to a price that I would pay for them, the hype has gone and there is always something better out by then. As I said before, tanks choppers boats and quads with run and gun game play I enjoy far more than just run an gun game play by it's self.

Roll on Battle Field 3 is all I can say.

    Greetings!

Dont know from where you are but the way to go is to check UK online shops in some months.
Dont buy from St€am or local retail shops (60€?! :hehe::nono: ).
