I have a nice little Shuttle SN95G5 which has worked flawlessly for several years. Over the past few weeks it has developed a strange, intermittent fault - it won't start properly. I press the power button and it seems OK for a fraction of a second, sometimes for a few seconds, but then everything just stops, as if the power had been cut off. Even if I keep my finger on the power button it still stops.

I've tried a different power cord. I've tried leaving it unplugged overnight. I've tried leaving it running overnight. There is no pattern of success/failure that I can find.

I'm out of ideas, can anyone help?

My immediate guess would be a power supply failure, is it built in or does it use an external supply?

Thanks for the response. The power supply is built in, and not easy to get at for testing. I'll have a look and see what can be done.
