Anybody know where I can purchase a freeview box that has S-Video output and S/PDIF? I want to be able to connect it up to my Dell 2407 TFT. The current freeview box I have only has a Scart out so I bought a Scart to S-video lead however this only gives me composite over S-video resulting in a black and white picture.

    Thanks

I used a Scart to s-video adapter and fed the stereo sound into a spare set of 2.1s. It gave me full colour. Check the settings in your freeview box. I had mine set to RGB.

Or you could buy the sony freeview box (now out of production) from ebay or some of the online suppliers. It has SPDIF out. It also is better quality and has faster channel switching than almost any other box I have used.

Yeh. A friend of mine uses that with his 2407. Pretty good.

^^ It's crap and slow though. Not recommended.

I'd also have a look for the Sony on ebay.
