Glad to hear you've finally gotten ORAC3 completed G-gnome. I've got to say that although the wait to see the finished product has, at times, been unbearable, I'm glad that you didn't succumb to the pressures placed on you by the numerous demands for more timely updates. Your skill and dedication in making ORAC3 to match your original vision is amazing and your workmanship on this project is, IMHO, unmatched.

Patiently waiting waiting to see and read about the final leg of your modding journey that is ORAC3. :thumb:

    :worried:

Editing about 700 pics down to the 240 or so best ones (time consuming), re-sizing/compressing, cropping and watermarking the 240 pics individually in Photoshop, uploading, writing the article (huge), writing the forum-post update/links, allowing the other staff to proof the article, implementing any changes necessary, writing the front page post, etc, etc...

    It's not just a case of 'bangin'-it-out and up-it-goes'... :)

Expect it up on the site sometime during this coming week. :cooldude:

    a little photoshop tip:
    go to file>automate>web photo gallery
specify a source and destination folder
all your images will be put into a webage format(usually useless) but it does do all the resizing and such directly for you. might save some time. i think there might also be a watermarking option.
hope that helps, cant wait to see it! :thumb:

Get a program called EZThumbs ( download it here ) It can resize and recompress a folder full of images automatically. Cannot crop and watermark...but it may save you some time :D

( In case you cant tell I'm trying anything to speed the process up :D )

[EDIT: OK czechmodder's idea might be better :D ]

I can't wait G-gnome =p. I can honestly say that you and Macroman are my two biggest sources of inspiration. I don't comment on other threads that often, but... seriously... there isn't a single case that holds a candle to what you've done. I'm completely in awe of your design skills and truly original processes. Keep up the good work ^_^.

    Orac completion

My only question is: How will the completed article appear on bit-tech? As an article or thread?

Photoshop 6 has batch processing. You can record an action, save the action then tell photoshop to perform this action on all images in a certian folder. Resized (Only to one new size for all images) Watermark added and compressed/saved to an output folder in record time.

Yes I know my photoshop :)

But that's only if you want to crop all the photos the same. Photoshop can't decide what the subject of the picture is and crop it accordingly. That requires a human ;)

    Nice work G-gnome.

I think the correct term is 'i dont want to wait!' ;)

Always a pleasure to read about your modding G-gnome - I enjoy a nice mod; but i also enjoy excellent product photography, which you have down pat.
