   So how similar are different manufacturer's implementation of the 1060 / 3 GB architecture likely to be? My MSI 1060/3 GB is sitting in my mailbox at home and I'm wondering if I should expect similar performance. Either way, it will be a step up from the 260 it's replacing.

   Largely the same - performance shouldn't vary by more than a few fps unless you have other bottlenecks. And virtually any dual-slot custom cooler will cool the card effectively and at very low noise levels.
