It sounds like Google has copied Bing (which I prefered for images). I've not been able to have a look as IE6 at work has the same old google images.

Doesn't seem to have changed on my system (IE 8 on XP, from the UK). Doesn't matter whether I use Google.co.uk or force it to use .com - the old paginated image search remains. Is it limited to certain browser/OS combinations or is there some kind of beta opt-in?

Does anyone really care what this company does anymore? Better get the old tinfoil hats out again since they will be keeping all the data they have on you for their own personal use!

Well... the options described here in the article, i can see them in google image search, but the pages are still there, maybe that's the only thing different..

Maybe it was a last minute hange, like, they realized the hight memory usage of having one single page and decided to go back to various pages.!!

Ok, that's a worthy upgrade on one of my favourite search types!

Hopefully it'll make it's way out onto the regional google sites soon.

So I had to check it out.
    I hate it.
    Plain and simple.

I liked knowing the size of the image and the url the image was found out
WITHOUT HAVING TO MOUSE OVER EACH PICTURE.

This isn't a case of "fear of change" this is simply
a cry out at being forced to use a less efficient search method.

It's far from the end of the internet as we know it,
and 99.9% won't care or even notice the difference,
but it's going to live me peeved for a good while...

I thought this when I first started to see changes, although I've rarely used Bing, still preferring Google.

I can't tell if I like the image search now..

the old one spaced the images apart which I find a little easier to define each image, now they mesh and blur when I look at them.

The information density per page has increased, but maybe a choice to set image boards/separation would be great.
