im buying a new computer, and im planing to OC my athlon 64 alitle
i know thise processors arent that good in OC, but i still want that extra 3-400MHZ

so im going to get thise :
AMD643200+clawhammer (whats better, clawhammer or the newcaslte? im going with this one bcz it got the extra cache - good for gaming, or so ive been told)

    Epox EP-8kda3+

    and OCZ PC4000 CL 2.5 (2.5-4-4-8) 500MHZ 1 gig (512X2)

im hoping to pull out a CG 3200, but thats plain luck..

so, anything i should change in this setup?

    change the ram
the only place that PC4000 or faster can be used to its full potential is in a P4C system

go for some low latency PC3200 or PC3500 that is known to overclock well, BH5, BH6, corsair XL or OCZ 2-2-2 would be good

I'd go for some OCZ EB (extended bandwidth) memory, does really high fsbs 250+ at 2.5,2,2,X on fairly low volts, its really good stuff. the 3700 does a little better then the 3500.

What chipset does that epox board use? I'd go for the new Via pro one or nf3 250.

You do realise your upgrade path is pretty none existant on sockket 754?

the OCZ 3500/3700 EB arn't rated for 2.5,2,2,x, the 3500 is 2.5,3,2,x afaik.. But will most likely do 2.5,2,2,x if you raise the voltage
