I think they'll likely argue it is second hand, as it's been owned by someone other than an authorised reseller before you. Personally I'd happily pay an extra £100 for a 10 year EVGA warranty. If the card breaks you get a new or better one, which is worth way more than £100.

thats a great price. However, every time I see something like this on ebay (brand new latest and greatest hardware) I wonder to myself "this sounds too good to be true...so maybe it is?"

Anyway, I hope thats not the case here :thumb:

Sounds like you got a bargain there, I'd defo go for the savings over the warranty, I've yet to have to return anything that just died for no reason.
And it's unlikely you'll keep the card for 10 years :p

Yeah the 10 year things seems to be abit of a gimmic. How many people keep a graphics card for more than 5 years?

Asus do a 3 year standard warranty on graphics card and zotac do 2 years with a 3 year extension if you register within 14 days of purchase. I'll probably go Zotac when i get a 580 next week.

Also i got my Crucial C300 256GB SSD on ebay last week for £350, which is a decent saving! There is nothing in the crucial warranty terms about auction websites or providing proof of purchase. :thumb:

My BFG 280 GTX had a 10 year warranty, but since BFG are no longer in the graphics business I don't think it's valid any more.....

Don't worry about the 10 years, most people upgrade every 2 or 3 years so thats the most you need it to last. After that it starts to become quite dated. I'd rather save the £100.
