    Hi,

I want to upgrade my Laptop RAM, and I have never done a Laptop RAM upgrade before so I don't know much about SODIMMs... I know I want 533MHz DDR2, but have seen 200 and 204 pin sticks available.. is there a distinct difference which will make it easy to tell which type I want?

A good idea is to use crucials memory advisor, that will show you exactly what type you need. Once you know the exact type you need you can then shop around if crucial aren't the cheapest etc

Ran the test... Thanks. Apparently I can't use DIMMs bigger than 1GB..

    Also, 200-pin = DDR/DDR2

    204-pin = DDR3..

    Bought a Corsair 2GB Kit.

    Thanks for the help!
