Well that pretty much is the market for the Wii too, there are many non gamers that own a Wii.

For some reason, I just can't imagine my self trying to play COD with that thing. It's so obvious they're going for the casual market and they even dare say they don't.

Maybe they were aiming to have the project finished for Christmas.

So they're targeting SUPER-casual gamers. Those who are so casual they don't even want to buy a freaking console.

Was going to stick a joke in about Anti-Natal, but I thought better of it.

I would assume that if it is not going after the "casual gamer market" but instead "gamers" who do not have a console then I am there target...

Unfortunately the reason I do not have one is not because of the lack of amazing facial expression games and other crap I am sure they will come up with but because I already have a computer that can play all the games I want just fine and much better than any console can. Also I do not need to pay extra $$$ just to have multilayer or updates ect.

What Microsoft neglects to mention is that they are going after the exact same non-gamers that Nintendo has been pursuing, and winning over, for the last two to three years. It's not so much that they're going after the existing "casual" market that got into Wii Sports etc., as they are going after the people who have yet to become gamers at all, but will likely become casual gamers. Microsoft simply wants to avoid associating themselves with the Wii and its assumed audience as much as possible, for fear of alienating their steady mainstream-hardcore fanbase.

i am puzzled how to play a shooter with this... i mean, do you point with your finger or what? and say 'pang' if you want too shoot? and 'piezw' if it is a laser-based weapon? wave with your arms to change weapon? i'd like to see those gamers bunnyhopping...

Im guessing this system would be more directed at the wii style of game - exercise and 'fun' family rated games. The non-gamer is more than likely to be the type who goes outsides frequently and plays sports or other physical activity, im guessing the 'natal' would mimick some of these
