Hello guys i'm back here to post my first new project of this year! It was started two months ago, now i still working on it, but it's already near to the end, so its time to worklogging! :dremel:
This project will be soft modded, nothing extreme, its commissioned by a client!
Will be based on the beautiful Corsair Spec Omega chassis, i really love this case and this is an opportunity to work on it!

    HARDWARE & COOLING SETUP
Intel & Nvidia combo for this build, Gigabyte Aorus parts and of course watercooled, but for now only the CPU! In the future also the GPU will be put under liquid!
    Detailed components list:
    CPU: Intel i7 10700K
MB: Gigabyte Aorus PRO AX Z490
VGA: Gigabyte RTX 3070 Gaming OC
    RAM: 2x8GB Kingston HyperX 3600MHz
PSU: Cooler Master MWE 750W Gold v2
    Storage: OS - Sabrent Rocket 256 GB / DATA-GAMES - Crucial P1 1TB
Fans: 4x Cooler Master Masterfan MF120 Halo + 2x Scythe KazeFlex Slim 120
    Radiator: Barrow Dabel-30a 240 + 360
    CPU WB: Bykski Ice dragon
Fitting, adaptors and others: Bykski + BarrowCH
Pump: Barrow PWM 17W with 195mm reservoir
    Liquid: Alphacool Eiswasser Crystal Blue
    Tubing: hard PETG 14x10mm

    DESIGN & THEME
This mod will be soft modded, so minor change will be made, the color of the case, some LEDs, grill and covers, and other little parts, but all in the style of the case shapes.

So now let's start with a picture of the case!

Disassembling this case was really easy!

For the front face, i made a little mod, removed the glass and installed a grill, so i can achive a better airflow for the 360mm front radiator.
Also another thing i done, it was to replace the original only Red LED strip with an RGB one.

And this is a preview of the blue color chosen for this project, is a special matte blue with metallic effects!

This case doesen't support vertical GPU mount, so i bought the Cooler Master GPU Holder Kit v2.0, that include also the riser cable!
But with this kit the GPU will stay in the center of the case (that is a good thing for airflow on closed case) but we want the card on the border of the case, so i've modified a little the Cooler Master kit with some custom bracket and cutted a hole in the case for the cables.

I definitely prefer that metallic blue :thumb: the red is a bit too vivid for my taste

Now it's time for something more interesting, the making of the interior covers!

    Designing the cover style

    1.jpg

Cutting the plexiglas for the backlight :dremel:
    2.jpg

Printed on paper sheet (the plexiglas panel is the one that will cover the PSU)
    3.jpg

Applying the paper sheet on black wrapping vinyl and start to hand cut all the lines!
    4.jpg

Preparing the vinyl for the application, it will be applied on a white plastic sheet.
    5.jpg

And finally the cover installed! :rock:Between the black adesive vinyl and the plexiglas there is a white plastic sheet, to diffuse the light. The LED strip will be positioned on the right side.
You can see also the main hardware and cooling parts installed to test the clearances.

Another little update about the interior cover! This time for the bottom one for the PSU.
Plus the beautiful 24 PIN extension custom made with my friend Hardwire Custom Cable Maker Italy!
You can also see the pump installed, i used the HDD bay like support, and just need to make a little metal sheet plate to fix it.

    FINAL PHOTO SET PART 3

Someone maybe can think: "what about the side panel?"
Well the side panel was re-designed, because the original tempered glass isnt good for a vertical fan cooled GPU, so i made a sort of big grill to protect the side and also to allow a lot of airflow!
The result is at your judgment!

p.s. I'm also introducing a new style of photoset, hope to improve the exposition!
