I would like to share my project i have been design for a couple month.
This design still not 100% complete and i think i'll go to start my project next week but i need to sell my CNC machine for some reason so i'm not sure this project will start or not , however i need to share my design need to see what you think.

    Hope you like it.

PS. I'm not good in English , If i make you confuse please feel free to ask me.

Now my old CNC already sold that make this project freeze , So i start to design my low cost CNC to support to cutting acrylic , wood and/or aluminum (for aluminum will not over than 3mm).

    Just finish design Z-Axis

    Sweet!:D
I like the modular white panels on the motherboard tray in particular. You might want to line the SSDs up with the three under the motherboard. The discrepancy makes my OCD itch.

Anyway, I'd go nuts with the white on black. -Maybe make some covers for the front edge of the top fans.

Thank you, i"ll consider about that. For this design still have some issued but i'll solve it after my new CNC design was finish. So for this project i'll open 2 work log ,
1st - to Build CNC machine
2nd - to Build this Acrylic case

Not finish yet , but this my 1 of 3 type of my design for X-Axis. The other type will use less aluminum profile and not use linear guide way to reduce cost.

After finish all design i'll open new work log for
1st - to Build CNC machine
2nd - to Build this Acrylic case

Mind if I ask where exactly air enters the case? I don't see any intake fans/ intake vents, but I do see an air-hungry beast of a 480 radiator. Or are you intentionally hiding the intakes?

Other than that, Really nice job! Especially like the differently-colored Graphic's logos. :thumb:

The air enters from bottom right side and top right side by using 120mm fan (4x120mm fans).
For this side i'm not show my design yet because i'm still working on it and try to make it fit to my design but now my design still freeze, i'm working on my CNC design first.

Love the wrap around acrylic...awesome that you can see in the case from the front and side seamlessly. Great design work!

seems kind of wasting money to use high price lineair guides on the y an z axis and use cheap ones on the x axis.

also maybe it is better if you change the design a little bit and remove the weak vertical posts and just build the lower frame like a U
    [IMG]
not saying mine is perfect but it is pretty dawm strong

that is how i build mine, this has also been done with aluminium profiles.

Thank you for information, For my design above i'll replace X, Y to use rod rail to make it cheap and for Z-Axis i'm still use linear guide because it have a lot second hand part and it cheap (about 40$ for 2xrail , 4x block).

Now i have 6 different design and some design remove the weak vertical posts too but it not fit to my condition.

    My condition ::
    - Build this CNC by using 1 power drill
    - Build this CNC by using only hand tap tool

This all tool i only have.

i made this one with only a hand tap(machine version but did it with manual labour)
parts i designed and had them made at a shop with a water jet and bending tools.

maybe it would be wise to post your cnc ideas on a cnc specialized forum like cnczone.com. those people wil definately be able to advise you about the best choise.

there are enough companies that can cut steel or thick aluminium sheets, so its not so hard to build one.

My revise design , replace linear guide by rod rail but replace only X and Y Axis because linear guide for Z Axis have a lot used part and it cheap.

i would not reccomend the little L parts connecting your bridge to the x-axis. a better idea would be to buy for the side bars a 120x80 bar and mount the bridge directly onto the x-guides. this design is probably even weaker than the first. guides on the top is better.

Thank you for your recommend and sorry for reply late just busy to finish my design and now i start order parts for it.

For L parts i use aluminum sheet to connecting it and will use angel bracket too. I'll update my final design again and now some parts it arrive.
