    Hi all,

my name is Francesco and i from Italy! :)
    Nice to meet you! :D

Before presentation i believe that is'n my first project, i have create other cases!
I want to show you my last project!

    It's name is
    [IMG]
    IRON REVENGE

    Materials
In this mod i want to use more sheets of iron, excactly sheet of 1.2mm for the "body" plexyglass for the lateral panels and angular of alluminium

    Use of the case
First, this case will be built from 0, so I can build a case according to my-self ..
Let's say that this case comes prepared for a water-cooled setups, but until there are a few of money available i install the configuration of my htpc :duh:
Furthermore, this case will not be developed in length (as all the "normal" cases) but in width as the liquid in case I did not have to install at least I would not be limited to the installation of tower heatsinks (mugen 2 or other big heatsinks if i didn't install the liquid cooling) ..
The dimensions of the case are very small and compact: 33 cm (depth) - 45cm (height) - 19cm (width)

    Cooling
As a fan I will use the 2 Enermax 120mm TB Silence placed on the front and 2 Enermax T.B Silence 80mm on top!
I chose for their first silent and then for their price / performance ratio!

    Lighting and colors
I thought as a light to illuminate the case with the red neon that I will need for a specific thing you can see soon on this mod!
The case will be painted only in black but the front of case will be painted whit metallic grey!

After this i show you the first up!

    SLEEVING

    a clue of second pack:

    :hehe::hehe:

    opend the pack:

    there are:

    - 50 precuts of heatsrink
    - 10mt of white sleeving
    - 10mt of black sleeving

    and an offer from Nils
    [IMG]

after i have sleeved the cables of all T.B silence
    [IMG]

    ______________________________

    SLEEVING 2

With a little patience I have sleeves on 24-pin individually :)
    PS: Molex is still painted
    [IMG]

Here is a picture of the ensemble:
    (blur :duh:)

with the red sleeve (offerted from Nils) i have sleeved the cables of the VGA (a stupid nvidia 8400GS :wallbash:) and the cable of the heatsink (Arctic cooling 7 LP)

and the 4 pin of the motherboard...

the sleeving has be done without an extractor... because i have created one!
i have sleeved the cable with there!
all with a litte screwdriver and a paper clip! :jawdrop:

    Here's how I did it:
I put the paper clip on one side of the pin
    [IMG]

The screwdriver on the other side:

    Grave screwdriver ... aaaaaaannnnnnddddd!

    sleeeeeeeeeeeeevvvvvvvvviiiiiiiinnnnnnng!!! :rock::rock::rock:

    _______________________________________________________

    FIRST CUT

ok, let's start with the first of 5 plates that I will use in this mod ....
The plate is made of iron of 1.2mm and with sandpaper and water, which I removed all the rust on the sheet
    [IMG]

So, I will use this sheet to create the "compartment" between the top (where there will be the motherboard and his sons :hehe:) and bottom (power, HDD, CD burner, etc.) and I had in mind to reproduce the logo of the mod whit the dremel :dremel:

    i bend it!

So with the help of dremel, discs 409 and begin to cut the plate! :worried:

    Iron Revenge :rock::clap:

But you think I'll leave it without even make perfect it?? no! :nono:

So armed with a profile of alluminium and a rasp i'm going to align all the letters... before the bottom line
    [IMG]

    and then the upper
    [IMG]

    the result! :D
    [IMG]

    turn on the lights! :thumb:

    for today it's all!
    wait the next up! :D
    Bye :)

with 2 terminals and a profile of alluminium fixed on my house's ring i have created a vise!! :thumb::D
    [IMG]

    Good!!!

And finally, the end result ....

while we are stuffing it for good ....

sorry but i have problems whit the connection and i haven't posted the work! :(

in this up i show you a lot of things, first I created the predisposition to install a 120/140 mm fan on top of the "compartment" further to cool the power supply "warm"

Well, now I can proceed to design the backplate of the motherboard, where these profiles have enlightened me :D
    [IMG]

    detail of profile:

I now explain, i want to use these profile to create a cable menagement system in the case and to make it i use a plexyglass sheet fixed on the profile and on it i'm going to lodging the motherboard!

to do it i cut the first sheet of plexyglass of 3mm to do the motherboard tray!

    after the cut:

and ther is whit the profile
    [IMG]

obviously i cut the profiles :hehe:

next i have cut the profiles at 45 degrees to do a perfect 90° angle :thumb:
    i assemble the profiles...

i add the plexyglass sheet (but i haven't fix it because before i must fix the profiles)

on the plexyglass sheet i have do the holes fot to fix the motherboard...

to fix it i use an home made system....

at the first i get the screw
    [IMG]

i block it with a nut
    [IMG]

    insert the o-ring
    [IMG]

and when i have intalled the mobo i lockit whit other nut...

ok, it's time to try on it the mobo!

    Fit perfectly! :thumb::thumb::thumb::rock::rock:

Ok guys, we have finish for today!

    Bye bye! :)

Today I am dedicated to the backplate of the motherboard where I finished making the structure

to fix the profiles i haven't buy angular because i have created they...

a very simple thing where I have used a discard of a iron sheet....

i have cut 4 strips from it...

next i have bend and hole they but i have lose the photos :duh:

    this is the result!
it's very solid and heavy!

this is one of 4 angular created.... it's fixed by 4 rivets every angle!

    Detail of angle....

and just to finish I also tried the plexyglass on the angular's structure!

next i have get the last sheets of iron ... on they i'm going to create the rear panel whit motherbard and its pci-e slots at the first and the space to fix 2 fan of 120mm and the cd burner aperture on second!

i'm going to draw the cuts on the future front panel...

    too on the rear panel...

and now.... who want to see the result??? :D

    hey guys... i'm back! :)

i have lost the photo of the cuts but i have the photo of the final result :D

After 6 hour of dremel and rasp i have obtain this!

i have cut the front and the rear of the case, and i have glue the plexy mobo tray on the structure... at the moment the panels are locked by a paper tape, in a next time i'm going to fix all of there whit a trasparent silicon (i have choise it to use it to avoid to use all screws)

next i have cut a piece of black plexyglass and whit a 120mm hole saw have create the holes fot the 2 fans...

    turn on the neon...

and this is the moment to install the fans..

for the moment this is all... see you soon! :)

    Bye!

i'm going to copy the holes to the panels...

i do the holes and i rivet the first panels ;)

Now, i have cut they in the half and i have create the "home made angular" :dremel:

i'm going to try the bended sheet in the structure.... It fits perfectly

After this i'm going to fix they at the bended sheet...
