    Update time :D

I started off today by cutting the 4" hole in the front of the res/pump housing for the res
    [IMG]

i then got it drilled and tapped and fitted the res
    [IMG]

    mounted
    [IMG]

i then decided to see what it would be like with the pump in there aswell and it looks fine to me plenty of room :D
    [IMG]

I am contemplating whether to do a window in the side of this module so you can see inside. and also im considering wether to cut some green to go ontop of the front facia of the res..

and also it is starting to look like i may have to paint these cases myself as i cant get hold of my airbrush artist and i cant afford another guy as my guy was doing them as a favour but oh well it just means i will have to miss out on the green metallic flakes.

Check out dupli-color they do metal speck paints and effex which adds glitter to the paint.

You have enough room for a full diorama in the pump housing.

Josh, have you had any issues with those res's? Like anything in terms of flow issues or anything? I like the look of it; it fits your build perfectly where it's placed. It reminds me of a shortened Aquatube or something, but I suspect high-flow systems would have issues with it. I'm curious what your take on it is.

Josh, Go get some tiny figures and put them inside like the Nautilus engine room from the movies.

Watched it last night on Netflix

dude, you have so much space left there, some nice potential :)

Dont add any green to the front of this module, i like how the res is color-coordinated with the tubes on the other side.

Maybe a fancontroller and a small screen (VFD or LCD) to display various temperatures? It would make sense if you concider that the PC is sitting right of the user most of the times, so you'd have a nice view on it, and buttons will be easily reached.
In the most extreme case you could get a 5 or 7 inch TFT and display a custom samurize install there :thumb:

In any case, keep modding! :thumb:

Thanks mate :D tbh i dont need a fan controller as the fans i use are quiet enough for me anyway... and i just dont have to money for a screen ..... but thanks for the advice. i may think of something to add

    Update time :D

Well i got to work on the facia of the res mount today

So first things first is was to disassemble the res
    [IMG]

I then drew around the original mount
    [IMG]

And if anyone was wondering what i look like on a normal cold day in the south of england here you go :p
    [IMG]

After a while of cutting i have this
    [IMG]

    And drilled and assembled
    [IMG]

And thats it for today i will hopefully get my mini window done on the pump/res housing tomorrow

Another update for you lovely people :D

I marked out the area for cutting on the side panel of the pump housing
    [IMG]
    and the acrylic
    [IMG]

    acrylic cut
    [IMG]

and after more cutting and filing i have the side panel cut
    [IMG]

    and mounted
    [IMG]

and also i found some satin black left over from ages ago along with some primer so i thought i would just test it out this is with 1 coat of each and the only prep was a very quick rub down with some 320g sandpaper it turned out pretty much perfect :D but its very hard to photograph
    [IMG]

    Thats it for today unfortunately

    Josh
