Well been a while since i posted anything here been one of those crazy years lots going on but oh well thats life. But i am back doing some mod stuff i have a couple projects that will be starting up next month but till then thought i would post this upgrade to and existing comp. Here are the specs on the system as it is now The system specs are as follows Dual 3.2 gig Intel Zeon Processors Intel Workstation Motherboard 4 gig of Reg DDR Ram 36 gig SCSI Drive for the operating system 120 gig SATA Drive for storage Plextor SCSI Burner Lian LI PC 70 case (Black) Soundblaster Audigy 2ZS platinum Sound Card Saphire X800XT Platinum Video Card All this is WaterCooled Water cooling parts Swiftech waterblocks for both CPU.s Swiftech MCW20-R Chipset Waterblock Swiftech MCW50 Videocard waterblock Typhoon Single Bay Res Eheim 1250 Pump (317GPH) HWLabs Black Ice Micro 2 Radiator The idea behind this is to upgrade the existing water cooling system to a new radiator as well as some electronics to monitor the whole system The new parts that will be going into this will be from Aquacomputer out of Germany here is a link to there site it is mostly in German AquaComputer I have been watching the forums for a while and see lots of people using these parts so figured i would give them a try see if they are worth it. I got these parts from SNTMods out of California they seem to be the only supplier in North America here is a link to there site SNT Mods Well now on to the pics i don't have any of the original build but will post some of the way the comp is now once i get some. Parts Well here are the parts after much time and waiting finally got them here UPS was not very nice to the box Well lets see what we have in the box lots of little boxs with lots of cool stuff Now lets get to the fun stuff thee actual parts well lets take a closer look at the peices going into this The display so we can make sure the system is doing what it is supposed to the harddrive cooler so we can eliminate a few fans on the system The new pump with the electronic controler The new flow meter for the system And last but not least the new Radiator I also got the water temp monitor but forgot to take a pic of it oh well that will come later Here is all the extra wires and connectors for this system All the extra parts for the display Well that is it for now will be posting some more here right away So hope you enjoy and Happy modding
Got looking through some old pics here and found a pic of the comp back when it was first done I will post some better pics of the comp just don't have it here right now but bringing it in this week to start on it.

4 gig of Reg DDR Ram OMFG!! are you serious?? that amount is like 2 years ahead from now! the hardware is tight! and the watercooling looks like a million bucks! I am amazed that just one 120mm rad can provide sufficient to cool all that crazy hardware! can you post the temps you got? and what fan and on what voltage it is running?
It's a Dual Xeon, the more the better Only thing that worries me are your temperatures, 2 x Xeons, a Chipset and an X800XT PE on a single 120MM radiator as Acid has mentioned
The water temp in a system usually doesn't rise more than 5 degrees from the rad out to the rad in... you have to remember it's completely different than air cooling in that way. Like the parts... let's see some modding! Looks promising!

True, but it is not the water temperature that is important. It is the temperature difference between the water and the blocks. The less difference, the less heat transfer. Also the rad will have an upper limit to how much heat it can displace. I predict those Xeons will peak at about 50C at load.
Yah i have been thinking about that myself the system is running on a single rad with dual 80mm fans so thinkiing i might keep this rad in the loop so will have 2 rads instead of the one

Wow... Erm, wow... Looking nice, that's just some serious stuff under the hood . Looks nice though, I like how you have a lot of schtuff interfacing through the external drive bays ~ makes everything more fun
Time to start work Well started on the comp the other day Got all the old stuff out so we can start with a clean slate The computer next to it has a full water cooling system with pelties on both the CPU and the Video card That will be later. Here we go time to drain the system and see what we have. Here we are all cleaned up all the parts gone and time to clean up a few things and start putting all the new stuff in. Going to keep the swiftech blocks with this so no need to remove these. Well first thing we need to look at is the pump as i am going to keep it in the same place as the old pump will need to fix the old drive cage Because of the EMShield on the new pump i can't install it the old way so had to cut the drive cage back Here is the pump and drive cage installed to see how it will work still have some more work to do on this but give you an idea how it will turn out. Here is a shot of how the components will look in the case not to sure but going to be doing something with this as well as it still does not have a total clean look that i would like. Well that is it for now not much done but will have some better pics as well as somemore work on this.
More cutting Well got around to working on this a little more had to do a litte more dremel work nothing major here just needed to make a little room for the second rad because the bottom of the cage for the powersupply was limiting the Raditor and wouldn't let it go high enough for it to line up and mount. But first lets protect this a little because we are not going to actually pull the motherboard Here is what we have after a bit of cutting. Lets see how the rad fits. Well nowhat that is out of the way lets fix these fans so that the air can actually flow a litte better. Now the last piece to cut We need to make room for the top radiator as this one will just fit in the top of this case. We this was not the best cut i have done in a while but not really alot of room here for a dremel and a cutting wheel even with the extension but oh well no one will see it Lets see if that will help the radiator fit any better Still a tight fit but thats ok it is in there now Short but to the point now to make the new backing plate to mount the rad and such.
