Overclocking Push 465x8 on Q66, but got questions about Term and PLL and need some help

    Depends. Also I don't know much about your board, but try starting off with something simple.


    Does your CPU have .5 increments in the multi or is it just single integer? Meaning, can you go 6 6.5 7 7.5, etc or is 6 7 8 9 etc.?

    Your processor is going to LOVE high FSB. Start off with 450x8 for 3.6GHz.


    Do the normal voltage for 3.6 that you need on your CPU, but start off with about 2-3 notches above stock VTT and up PLL 1 notch.

    Increase the NB voltage to about 1.3-1.34 and see where that gets you. If you get stable, try pushing higher on the FSB. For 3.8 do 475x8 but increase for 450 to 475 by 5MHz at a time and test. Increase, test. If your CPU doesn't have heat issues, then run Linx or ITB for 5 times at normal.

    If you fail and not matter high you go on the vcore, your CPU refuses to budge, up the CPU term 1 notch. If that fails, up the NB voltage 1 notch and keep it the same without any increases.

    I really have no knowledge about your board or you CPU, nor do I have any experience with any like boards so my advice is a shot in the dark.

    Cool, thats all I needed :) Mine can hit 4GHz easily, 381*10.5, I just wanted to push it as far as I can :)

    Also 475x8.5 is 4.0GHz :D

    PLL is 1.57v
    VTT (Term) 1.4v

    One is Phase Loop Lock and has a lot to do with the inner workings of the CPU that get out of hand at higher clocks, but usually a single bump fixes this.

    Term (VTT) I am not sure. Basically higher clocks on the FSB require higher VTT, but usually not too much. For you I would start at 1.28 and see where that takes you, maybe 1.3v VTT max. You shouldn't really have to mess with the PLL
