Is there any significant differences between the two? Also any advice on a motherboard, looking for NF4 probably, or nf3, but not to intersted in SLi!! ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
Venice is a 90nm core with SSE 3 instruction sets and an improved memory controller. Since prices are essentially the same, you want the Venice. There are plenty of Nforce 4 boards out there that arent equipped with SLI; DFI's Nforce 4 Ultra based board isnt very expensive, and overclocks like crazy. Or, you could be cheap and go with one of the less expensive ones out there.
yea what he said and winne's are also 90nm but can't support 4 dimms at ddr400 also they only have sse2 and venices clock a tiny bit better.
Both 90nm, Venice is based on the E3 core revision, with a slightly improved memory controller, and SSE3 support. Get the venice over winnie any day
And don't forget the "extra layers of copper interconnects" in Venice - that was the difference between Tbred A and B, and look how much that helped
