    Hi,
As my Thrustmaster LCD was not able to run from the S-Video, I've got an Radeon 7000 PCI that I try to work with the VGA.
I've follow M pro's guide and made a cable like he have done.
    But I can't get a decent picture.
I wonder If I need to build a Composite sync circuit for my Radeon 7000?

I've tried also to connect +5V to pin 10 on the LCD but that didn't chance anything.

Is there a better cable layout to build to get it to work better?

Right now the picture is flickering as a strobe light.

    Cheers

not that ive ever done it, but from reading the guide, it sounds like either a refresh rate problem, or a problem of sync, so double check those?

The picture is steady but it look like it's many picture on the screen, anyone know what I do wrong?

    Here is a picture

    Cheers.

I've got some picture after spending hours with PowerStrip.

But I have problems to resize the picture in vertical (it's to big), anyone know or can give me some suggestions?

Here is the picture I got now.

And here are my PowerStrip settings.

Well that many pictures has been a common ocurance before my new montier. It is your screen resolution settings. Turn them down and you'll be good! And i have a question of my own. I have a spare LCD from a laptop that i wanted to do that with but where did you find a guide on how to get power for the LCD....or how'd you do it?

So I can't run my main screen in 1280x1024 with the 5" LCD at 640x480?

Do I've to set my main to 1024x768?

    Cheers.

No, you should be able to set your main screen at any resolution it supports, without this affecting the second screen.

The only way I know to resize the picture is in Powerstrip.

And Bobthebeerdude: you cannot hook a laptop LCD up to a desktop PC graphic card. It is totally different from a PS1 screen and would require a very specific (and very expensive) interface circuit. Just forget it. Trust me.

I'm almost there... after some more hours.

The picture is not 100% steady and it's "jumping" up and down little, and on the top it's more "distortion" in horizontal.

Any suggestion what values in PowerStrip I should try to adjust? I almost don't dare to touch anything... now when I've got a picture on the hole lcd.

    New setting in PowerStrip

And a bad picture of the lcd screen (hard to take a good picture).

Could you post what you did to get it working? I know many people in the future might have the same problem and it would be nice for them to get help from this thread. Congrats on the getting it working. I need to try out Samurize one day.

I'm using M pro's Cable Layout and with the RGB ground to LCD pin 7.
And it's hooked up to my second card (Radeon 7000 PCI).

Here is my PowerStrip settings. Play with the settings, it takes more than one tries to get it to work, I spent some hours with the settings before I got a picture... So don't give up.

    Good Luck all of you.

Here is a pict, hope it helps. Some wire are stil left when I tried different wires (it look like sh** right now). I'll use a PsOne Cable that have the connector that fits in the gray socket, then I will remove the yellow power and the black connector so I can mount in a box or something else...
Let me know if you need more picts.

Thanks, can you give me the pin numbers, and what each cable is etc you wired it to (to your LCD End)

My LCD is running, but I soldered ontop that black thing, and my lcd is just making lines, Ive tried changing the settings in powerstrip :(

So Im guessing my wiring is wrong

I bought a second Graphic card (Radeon 7000 PCI), don't know if there is any mod to make so it will autodetect the LCD on your main Graphic.

Here is some info on the pin out on the LCD and Wire info I use.

The main problem is PowerStrip, it's hard to find the settings (I spent several hours). Don't know if it's any different with PowerStrip versions, but I use version 3.30 build 366.

    Don't give up :thumb:

I'm using 2 Graphic card, Main (Radeon 9700 Pro) is for my 17" LCD, and the second one is just for the 5" LCD (Radeon 7000 PCI). So I guess you have to buy another card so you will have a second one just for the 5" LCD.

    Cheers
