I figured I'd just post the background itself, as I never use icons on my desktop. (That's what the Desktop toolbar is for in windows :D )

    As usual, Click for 1280x1024.

And yes, it took about 5 min to set up using blender, and 5 min to render in yafray. All open source 3d rendering for a lousy windows box :p I just wanted something that was mine, and barely had enough time to make it and check out bit-tech tonight. Expect updates frequently on my desktop as I'm having fun with blender :D

    Fantastic

I have seen some truly great desktops here.
Shame I would get killed if I used some of them.

Just an update... I've learned a bit more about blender, so decided to swap out desktops:

Well, according to my wife, the pink (it was supposed to be red!) was too girly... and once she pointed that out, I couldn't stop thinking of how girly it looked....
    so here's the new 'en:

I've got to let it render for about 10 min. for the nice white background (comes from photon mapping or something of that nature... which takes for..ev..ver.. on my machine.), but this will do for now. (roughly 1 min to render this one)

    EDIT:
Until I run out of bandwidth, you can see this glass 117 cube rotating here.
roughly 1.4Mb of divx goodness for 4 seconds of rotation... (2 hours rendering)
