I'd love to get my hands on a Harrier and A-10 Thunderbolt kit. Looking good so far gents. Nice to see some variety outside the Games Workshop thread.
Can't wait to get started on this Celica, it's the first time I've done something to test my patience in ages.
just found some old pics of the AV-98 ingram I built a while back, toughest bloody kit I've ever made but by god it looks awesome all lit up at night,
That looks absolutely brilliant gunsmith- get the lights on! It's now safe to say I'm back in to this. Once I'm done with the rally models I've already lined up my next project:
That Mk.2 Escort is going to be fun! I'm looking forward to my 205 T16 kit turning up, although coming from Japan it'll be a few weeks. My current projects... Not as exciting as a light-up Gundam (that is hugely awesome), but: ~1/70th scale tanks. The Panther is getting a bit of paint in a few minutes, the Jagd and Tiger are waiting a bit of weathering and a final varnish coat.
Patlabor, not gundam, you should check it out krikket, its a very different style of science fiction of which i think you might enjoy
gunsmith where do you get your kits from ? been on the lookout for a jehuty kit now for AGES ( seriously since the first zone of the enders came out) but dunno where to find good quiality kits from also used to love zoids and i dunno if any of those kits are still floating around ^_^ atm im working on 1/16 heng long tanks with an infrared battle kit, it aint tamiya quality, but it certanally isnt tamiya price etiher
That Ingram is fscking awesome. Does anyone besides me ever decide to really change a kit, or do you tend to build them straight?
Krikkit, as someone who used to do Warhammer etc and never get the camo looking that good, those are ace! Looks like airbrush/aircompressor job, am I correct? Getting back into model kits again, looking for an aircompressor as camo just doesn't look that crisp with a paintbrush in my experience!
They're quite nifty actually, you can make them fairly quickly and they look pretty damn good. They're this one, this one and this one. I've also got a Trumpeter 1:72 Jagdpanther, but haven't finished building that yet. It's not quite as easy to build as the Revell ones, but looks very good. Thanks, I'm very pleased with them actually. It's a cup-fed cheapo eBay airbrush and compressor with Tamiya acrylic paints (brilliant stuff, I have to say). If I was going to do more of these I'd want a much narrower airbrush though, it's a bit clumsy for this scale.
Kid you are a bad, bad man. I got sprung the moment I saw this. Having seen these puppies in action, I can confirm that these are possibly one of th greatest rally cars of all time. Cheers Enterobsidian
I'm in the middle of one of these along with an FXX at the moment! I will try to find time this week to take some photos and contribute to this thread. No promises though The WRC Celica is one of the more detailed "older" models from Tamiya, plenty of fine paintwork and obviously lots of decal work to do as well. Test of patience is an understatement!
