This month is 3 weeks too long that front.

Just wish that was the extent of my issues right now.

    Who forgot what? :oldconfused:

On a more serious note, my failing memory gets very frustrating, especially when I have a bad day and don't seem to be able to remember anything.

Having my head bitten off continuously today, I’m really sick of it....

I feel pretty low, I know it’s just a rough few days and I’ll get back on track but I honestly don’t feel I have the energy anymore. In some ways that takes me back to a pretty rough place I don’t want to be.

I can’t remember the last time I had five single minutes to myself to focus on my problems without being sucked into everyone else’s. I just don’t want to hear about weight or work or friends or money if you’re not willing to help yourself with any of this stuff.

    **** em.

Right there with you. Though being right there with you I know being told that likely doesn't help...

Ahh... I got rid of that in case @DeadP1xels didn't wanna see it.
Sounds like an apathetic GP, if you ask me.

That was the second opinion [first was just 'fat']

Tactless f***er, if they just blurted that out... or is that the short version?

Praying for £400 to materialise from nowhere, so I can get my 'upgrade' finished... then realising things like that don't happen.

    Falls into the category of:
    Miracles we can do now
The impossible takes a bit longer.

... and my miracles for this year are all used up.

Previously diagnosed with depression and have been on and off anti depressants a few times in the last 4 years, honestly it’s been a while since I was last on them. I don’t quite feel like I’m in that place again... I really don’t want to be in that place because calling a GP was from a place of desperation back then.

Just feel a bit battered and bruised at the moment

Talking to a GP shouldn't always be seen as 'weakness'... esp. if you aren't 100% in control, per se.
Been on antidepressants for over 10yrs and I know I need them because I'm unbearable to live with, without them; was on Fluoxetine, now on Sertraline and that change made a massive difference.

During that time (2-3 yrs ago, I think) I had a diagnosis of high-functioning Asperger's & between the two I can cope a lot better than before I started Fluoxetine. I still have my bad moments, but they're very infrequent.

    You'll ultimately know what's good for you, but medication isn't a cop-out...

Totally agree, don’t consider it a cop-out in the slightest. Medication gave me tools to take control of my life and I’ll forever be grateful to the GP who advised me to take them at the time.

It’s crucial to be open, don’t pretend to have it together when you don’t. There’s no weakness in asking for help

This was brought home to me, with a vengeance, on Tuesday... had an anxiety breakdown in the local branch of DWP (of all places) while waiting/when called for my app't.

In my experience talking to a quack isn't weakness, it's a waste of time...
