POTM [08/07] Diverging Lines

Thanks for the help guys, decided on a slightly modified version of #3

 

#1 or #2
....hmmmm ill go with #2

definitively number 2.

Not quite sure why, but it seems more... symmetrical. I also love the colors on the rusted tracks.

 

I say #3 but #2 is close behind. BTW is #4 feathers or what.

 

#3 does it for me. 1 is too busy and my eyes can't handle it, and for whatever reason I just prefer #3 to #2. I do think that I would like #2 and #3 more if they were straightened up a little

 

Go with #1 and #4. The two color shots of the train tracks are ok, but there's nothing really there that grabs me. The black and white tracks, however, have a combination of good composition and a high contrast that suits the image. I think it stands out against the two color shots.

The feathers are just nice. It's different than the other three, and is an interesting take on the theme.

#3 definitely. When ever I look at #3, the lines of the track draw me from the bottom of the picture to the top.. always; I don't get this with the others.

That's a sign of a great photo regardless of the fact that it is missing that last bit of 'pop' and the tracks appear washed out.

 

Thanks for the comments so far guys, I'll see what I can do with the curves on #3 though I'm still not sure about which to enter...if an admin could add a poll I'd appreciate it.

 

Sorry, no. That would be cheating, kind of. You can't have a "pre-vote" of the most popular picture in your selection to enhance your chances of submitting a winning picture. Pick your choice, take your chances.

Edited original post with slightly modified #3, might have overdone the colours a bit but don't have time to go back to it now. Will probably end up flipping a coin

 

I like the original #3 better than the modified one. The new version looks over saturated, but not in a purposely over saturated way.

Much better after you straightened it out with the crop. Pretty and balanced. Very good!
