    So what would happen if they just ignored these requests, legal proceedings i guess and as they probably can't afford to fight something like that would the courts automatically rule in the plaintiffs favor?

    We know individual countries can and do block websites but could the EU?

    Article updated: Europol says it did not send any takedown notices to the Internet Archive, but that the French IRU sent them via the EU IRU IRMa system - and they should have been signed to indicate that they were a request from a member state, not the EU IRU. I've reached out to the French Ministry of the Interior for further comment.
