News Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 announced

    I really hope they're done with the Arkham Asylum location from the first game. Don't get me wrong, it was fantastic once, but the game dragged on for too long which was only exasperated by all the backtracking you had to do around Arkham.

    It will be interesting to see where they take Batman, as the game definitely worked best in enclosed spaces.

    Honestly I'm just really glad they resisted the common urge in superhero games to make them open-world. Far too much potential for failure.

    I was just thinking to myself yesterday "Surely there's a Batman 2 in the works, I wonder if it's been announced yet or not".

    Whenever it's out I'm excited. AA was awesome. :D

    Agreed. I'd like to see Gotham at large, or focus it on Wayne Manor.

    It's Gotham at large (though inexplicably Arkham is now ALOT close to the city as you can see from the trailer. I'm sure it's been in development since they finished the first as there are so many preorders/hype for AA1.
    Fingers crossed it lives up to the first one and dare I say surpasses it?

    Seems like the Asylum is set up in the slums of Gotham that were walled off.

    I want Batman AA, in a sandbox world where you can drive the batmobile (maybe unlock different ones) but wit the same combat system and more detective stuff.

    Gift'ed? seriously? I despair. :eeek:

    No it wasn't gifted, as I said, it's on steam, so it also wasn't pirated.

    I went to some 3D Vision demonstration at the Overclockers UK store (in Stoke) where they were giving out copies of the game (well steam serials).

    brilliant game the first one.

    from the teaser, looks like Arkham has moved to the middle of the city, with area surrounding Arkham to be playable in a sandbox way.

    Batman Arkham Asylum 2 announced

    Hi guys reformatted and backup everything yesterday. Problem is batman arkham asylum either refuses to recognise my saves or says its corrupt. How I hate windows live, all other games steam include had no issue when I copied the save games back into their main folders.
