Good Morning Bit Tech! Remember me? Some of you will anyway. I've been absent from the boards for almost 2 years I think. Ill health, job pressure, house move and a million and one other things have just made computers a very, very low priority. However... as is usually the case with these things... they don't remain so for very long I've just spent the weekend building a new system for my Mum, and it made me realise that mine is woefully out of date. I've still got the FX60 based system that I did a modding log on actually, with no changes whatsever. So it's feeling the passing of the years a little bit Oh how things march on at a pace... socket 1366? Whats that? Nahalem? Never heard of it.... and so on, and so on.... So.. I've got some catching up to do. I doubt I'll be as active as I used to be, as my life has basically changed a great deal. I notice my moderator status has been revoked.. LOL.. Not surprising, and no problem. I don't have the time for any of that anymore Well hello to all anyway, old acquaintances and new!
Welcome back mate! re: mod status - I seem to remember the list was pruned of inactive mods a while ago.
Cheers guys! Yeah, I'm OK now. Touch and go for a while but all is well I'm so pleased this site is going from strength to strength. Seems bigger and better than ever I've been reading the boards for about 30 mins only and already have most of my questions answered. That's what I always loved about Bit... decent info from passionate people who love computers. I'm not rushing into my next build and it will be way after Xmas anyway. The old FX60 still performs well for the 2 main tasks I give it (WoW and Photoshop). Far Cry2 is tempting me tho, and I doubt it will cope with that. Glad the same old regulars are still here. Thanks again guys.

Don't worry about upgrading too much Pookey. Remember my old system of an Athlon XP, gig of RAM, and a 9800 Pro? That thing has only just kicked the bucket, and is finally going to get an update. As for Far Cry 2, throw your money at a Radeon HD 4870 1GB and you should be set for a little while on the graphics front. OZstrike: I've been around; I just haven't been posting much.
