3D RAGE II 4MB (goddamn that PC was a monster for the time) ------rather questionable gap between PC's----- Sapphire X800GT 256mb (what a pile of shite with a whistling fan) Sapphire X1950 Pro 512mb (what a jump from the X800) Powercolour HD4770 512mb (on release day and for it's money at the time it was incredible value imho) HIS HD5770 1GB (ugh, just ugh. Might have just been a bad one but it was barely any better than the 4770) Current - MSi NGTX560Ti/OC Twin-FrozrII (wow, just wow. In time this card will be heralded as the best bang per buck this decade i reckon) Also got several random AGP's sat around along with other random bits i've acquired from building/upgrading mates comps and being left with the bits and pieces If anyone want random bits of PCB for something or other just PM me and post me a self addressed box lol)

This is a bit wrong thread, but I just thought I'd make a bit of an inventory of the cards I currently have: 8800GT GTX 470 GTX 560 HD 5750 HD 5770 HD 5870 HD 6950 HD 6970 HD 6870(x3) HD 6850(x2) GT220 ...wonder why the wardrobe is so full of boxes :|
FX5200 9800 Pro (PC died around it ) 8600GTS HD 6850 @Jipa I'll help you make some space and take some of them off your hands if you want
For me it was my awesome Matrox. Lasted for 5 years until I had to replace it. Although to be honest, I'd say that the HD4850 did one hell of a run seeing as it helped me game for 2 years straight.
All my cards have given me 6 months or so before i've upgraded..i lost the 4850 to the ex though in the split..:/
GTS 450 is a reliable little card, but yeah; the 460 beats the absolute living daylights out of it. The first reasonably new card I had was that Zotac GTS 250 1GB. Wonderful card when I got it, ran most stuff happily, although the majority of people I knew were on GTX 280's and the like by the time I got there. Forever chasing performance, I suppose~
I didn't start building my own PCs until I was 24... before that, my bro did it for me lol. I remember Voodoo cards because my bro had one in his first PC, circa 1997, but I have never heard of Matrox graphics cards before
Hm... Let me think... There were a couple of 3D Rage Pros in there at some point, then I seem to remember something about an S2, a Voodoo and a couple of Voodoo 2s, then a Voodoo 3 and a Voodoo 5 something or other. After this I got a GeForce Ti4600 something, no wait, there was a GeForce 3 somewhere in there. But I skipped the FX series in favour of a Radeon 9800 something or other, which I regretted sorely. Then I got a GeForce 7800, an 8800GTS (which served me very well), a 9800GX2 and finally a GTS285 which recently got accompanied by another GTS285. I think I've remembered all of them. Edit: Oh yeah, I had a 6600-something or other (possibly an ultra) as well. Spreadie's post reminded me.
my family pc had a voodoo 3, then Nvidia 5200. My first PC had sli 6600gt, then upgraded to 8800gtx. After that was a 4830, then 260gtx, then back to 4850, now on Xfire 5870...
Voodoo 3 2000 - first card - bought it at PC world and got totally ripped off. ATi Radeon 9700 - discovered internet retailers and got better value for money. Nvidia 6600GT Nvidia 8800GT Nvidia GTX280 Due an upgrade - waiting for next gen. As you can see I get my monies worth between upgrades.
