    Hi Everyone,

I could use a recommendation for a few case fans.

one of my case fans in my pc (temp donated to folding) has developed a death rattle. Since it needs replaced i was going to take the opportunity to pick up a few more fans, probably 6 in total, to replace a couple of old fans in the case that don't sound great either and for a few other PC's

I know Noctua are regarded as the best on the market but are they worth the price premium over something slightly cheaper for a case fan? I don't fancy £25 a fan tho they do have £16 option which I assume moves less air or is slightly louder. Ideally if there was something cheaper that was almost as good that would be perfect.

    Thanks in advance

Thanks, Bloody_Pete and Lenny! Settled for 2 5 packs of the Arctic F12 after his test of the P12's. P12 has higher static pressure while the F12 should have higher airflow according to Arctic. Dirt cheap and hopefully should have solid performance for case fan role.

They do sell black ones now. The chromax version. Expensive but I can guarantee no component in the build will outlast or out perform the fan.

    ^seconded.
I upgraded to chromax fans, and they are magnificent. Quiet, move a terrific amount of air. Now that they are not the usual noctua vomit colour they look lovely too

Would love to go Noctua but too rich for my blood :(

Wonder how long before they move into the rgb game. Only accepted loudness in a fan for some people.

Interesting. Comparing the fains the 2k industrial one is the most appealing, high pressure and airflow with the same noise or less than my currenmt ones (although this Lian Li's have an annoying subtle rattle). I am partial to RGB in my fans though...
