Networks changes necessary for ISDN to DSL?

    Recently, I moved to another house.
    The previous owner of that house had installed ISDN. I think the wiring needs to be changed for DSL because my DSL connection is much slower than it was at the old house.
    Is it the wiring or should I start troubleshooting elsewhere?

    A BT engineer comes out and removes the ISDN box on the wall and replaces it with a normal phone socket, then he/she goes to your exchange and flicks a switch (metaphoricly) that changes the line back into a pstn line on which you can get broadband, no recabling is necessary. I know this because my mother just went from BT Home Highway (ISDN) to 2Mbit broadband.
