Wow, now i've seen everything, wait no i havn't who want's to take on the job of modding a toilet?? *smart@$$ Grin* Seriously dude, sweet idea for a case, I love it, very orginal!!
Bilbo Fraggins: Yes thank you for posting that the mod was pictured in a teeny tiny thumbnail picture in the Novermber PC gamer magazine with the big Quake 4 cover. (page 34 ish i think) It is a great article if you were wondering what Quakecon was and why I was so excited to go. I have already talked to the awesome photographer for that article and thanked him personally, he responded by asking for my autograph on a mint condition magazine. LOL!! Hopefully I will update this project log in the near future telling you which magazine you can go pick up to catch a few more of my mod pics.. (wink wink nudge nudge) Giddy like a schoolgirl, Vazz
I just recieved an email from a representative of Corsair memory company... Here's what they told me... "Congratulations your rig has been picked as the Rig of the month for November." Mod on guys ! Vazz
I was following your mod much earlier on (as a lurker)...then lost track of it. It turned out great. Congratulations! You desrve all the coodos!
Just read though the whole long (yet again cuz i keep missing stuff) and you never showed us the ps1 screen in action. Can you please do so?
I do not have any pics of the PS1 screen in action, because, well, I never got it to work. long story short... I bought 1 off brand screen (not sony) from ebay and it was the wrong size and wiring was screwy I bought 1 Sony brand screen and gave it to someone to solder the VGA mod because I am horrible with soldering things that small, then he fell off the face of the earth with the part that made the screen work. I paid for another Sony brand PS1 screen off of ebay and the turd never sent the damn thing and I cant get my money back for it. So after spending close to $300 on just PS1 screens with shipping and still having none that would work I just put the screen minus the controller card in the mod, in hopes I could find the person with the missing part. I had all the stuff ready for it (programs, spare PCI vid card) and everything wired right but I couldnt justify spending more money on another screen seeing how they dont make them any more and the price isnt getting cheaper. Anyway, thats why I don't have anything displayed on it. (still very angry with the whole PS1 ordeal) But if you can find one of those screens for a decent price, the tutorials available spell it all out very nicely. Thanks for the interest guys Vazz
