Once more 'project fear, remoaner bollocks' becomes 'well you knew it'd be crap and voted for it anyway'...

 

Which is exactly what I expected would happen. Never mind that the warnings were dismissed by the Brexiteers as "Project Fear" and lies; never mind that promises by the losing side are irrelevant and those of the Brexiteers are supposed to count. The narrative is now that whatever the bad consequences of Brexit, it's not the government's fault or responsibility; the electorate voted for Brexit so they're theirs to own.

Given that she was the Leader of the House of Commons one could be forgiven for assuming she has at least heard the name Albert Venn Dicey before... but apparently she thinks that refers to something brown people order at Burger King

 

Well, some Tory candidates are talking about throwing centuries of democratic, constitutional rule --that was respected and admired by nations around the world-- under a bus, while others talk about effectively defaulting on a sovereign debt.

Don't know about the country, but the Brexiteers have well and truly entered the sunny uplands of faeries, unicorns and magic cake.

 

Should probably cut down on the drugs then.

 

What is it with loads of candidates saying they've taken drugs, is it some sort of competition or something, make them sound more like 'us', or what?

 

I'm half expecting one of them to go on TV, prick their finger and say: "Me qualified, me bleed like human... wait you can edit out spider eggs right?"

 

Frankly I'd feel more reassured if they unzipped their latex skin and revealed themselves to be lizard people underneath. At least extra-terrestrial aliens who conspire to enslave humanity would mean someone competent is in charge.

You could problably do it in 1 - 'are you prepared/able to face down a no confidence vote?'

 

And after losing that, what is she going to do? Stand on a box in Hyde Park and declare herself Eternal Emperor of all Beasts? And could she tell the difference between that and being a legitimate Government?

Don't give up hope, there is still time for all ten to stab themselves in the back by accident.

 

I think they should fight it out amongst themselves in hand-to-hand combat, Thunderdome-style. It could be televised. I'd watch.
