Haven't had much time to take many photos for a while but got a last minute assignment for the university paper to shoot the rugby league. 1# 2# 3# The conditions were horrible, going from 1/800 F2.8 ISO 1000 to 1/1600 F4 ISO 400 all in the space of a couple of minutes!
The D80 has Auto Iso. I still have my D80. Set the Min and Max Iso, as well as min shutter speed and you're good to go. As far as PP goes, Auto levels (to fix contrast) is always a good place to start.
I have done the basics like auto levelling e.t.c Anything beyond that would be of great help. What do you think is "wrong" with the shots? Not enough contrast e.t.c? The problem with the auto iso on the D80 is the min shutter speed only goes to 1/125 ,which will produce very soft images for sports. To be of any se it would have to go to 1/800 or at least 1/500
Nothing really 'wrong' with the shots per say. They just aren't 'fricking awesome' lol. Here's what I meant by adjusting contrast etc. Obviously everyone have different tastes as well as different monitors lol.
I see what you mean, a bit more "punch". Doesn't really help being colour blind! I normally do most of my personal photography in B&W. Thanks very much.
Could just be that it was a bright sunny day tbh. Yeah they are overexposed maybe by a third or so, but at the same time, add enough contrast and you're good to go. hmm.
