News Gamepark GP2X F200 released at last

The new version of the GP2X handheld, the portable platform of choice for cheap gamers and coders, has been released with a few new features. Check out the specs inside.

 

Sorry, but I don't agree with using Play-asia as the sale link. www.gp2x.co.uk is the official site (although it's being destroyed by too many requests at this point in time) and even though it is 35 pounds more it's not going to be hit by import taxes.

 

Duly noted - I used PlayAsia without thinking and picked it up on the DCEmu community. Replacing it with the official one now.

 

Seems like a good machine but for me to buy it it would need wifi! dont know why they didnt implement it in this version. Other than that nothing to say.

 

I has USB... maybe you can connect an usb dongle and make/compile some drivers for it... Its linux after all.

 

It doesn't have a usbhost controller so you couldn't run a dongle from it.

Give it a usbhost controller and wireless and I'd love one of these.

 

how ever if you use the addon board which has 3 usbs u can then add a dongle or hdds or what ever you want im getting one of these ive desided and now it has touch screen ive got to get on. i just have to find a ubs GSM adaptop

I know with the vanilla GP2X you can add upto 255 USB devices onto it (including hubs obviously). If they get any F200s here at uni, I'll have a look and experiment. I may even buy one for the hell of it!

 

Actually, it DOES have usbhost, thru the EXT port.
