Today i start my Worklog of my new project.

It`s a Contest Casemod at Hardwareluxx

    But first i thank:

    Hardwareluxx

    Klevv

    MSI

    Eizo

    Cablemod

    Bequiet

    Curical

    Aquatuning

    for the support.

    Let's start with the name.

This is a word game between hunt and hunter.

I came up with this because Ali Abbas once said we were like James Hunt and Niki Lauda.
Always full of effort and risk and the fight for place 1. And I will chase Ali again.

I will convert the case completely, aluminum reinforce and in a gaming Chair with a computer build in.

Why a chair? Because desks are to mainstream

A few years ago I built the Benchair. During the construction or final assembly and transport I noticed some shortcomings that I would not do so any more.

Therefore, the HuntR is a second version of the Benchair. Compact lightweight and space saving. Whether the monitors are integrated with is not yet fixed.

Here are the drawings I submitted.

Then I immediately started to design the tray.
On the Tray the complete hardware is installed.

Now I could also order the tours. They came today.

Hardly to believe what the heap of material has cost.

    Then the hardware arived

First of all, I then unpacked the case.

What is great is the case beautiful can be dismantled. That is why I first developed the tray

Since the hardware is completely on a carrier plate I next cut a sheet and rounded the edges.

    The sides were then beveled

Next I installed the drawer rails. These were fastened to the sheet metal with 2 M3 countersunk head screws.

In the next step, I have made a power supply unit from a piece of Alublech

First measure everything and cut with the vice.

Now the position of the hardware could be fixed.

    Thx

    Update:

In the next step I expanded the tray. I hope I can use the complete back cover from the case.

In my new carrier plate I then made a cutout for the tray and screwed it.

    Small hardware fitting.

When disassembling I have found that the power supply has a holder frame.
Of course I will use this for the case as much as possible.

Next, my order of aquatuning has arrived.

Active and passive radiators, solenoid valves and lots of other nice stuff are installed.

    I changed parts with Paladin.

Got his body frame with the top sheet with cladding and he got the lower one.

In the next step, we dismantled the front. The front we attached to the drawer Later and over the flap one comes then to the connections.

In order to save weight we and then also the door made.

The plastic and insulation was cut out. Madness as thick the material and well everything is processed. The case is really worth the money.

The lower strut of the case had to be removed in order to install the drawer rails.

New angle brackets and tabs for the drawer rails were made from aluminum tubes.

Then everything could be screwed to the case and the drawer inserted.
