    They were bought by Dolby in February: http://www.bit-tech.net/news/2007/02/27/dolby_buys_brightside_technologies_hdr_lcd/1

    So when JADS refers to "Dolby's IMLED technology" he's talking about Brightside (the IM stands for Individually Modulated btw)

    You know, considering 15.4" laptops have had this res. available for a LONG time, whadafuxupwidis? And, considering you can get replacement panels from EBay for $100, with a controller card for $70, all you need do is make a box and grab a lot of LEDs to light it up.

    Why is this taking SO long to get to market?
