Ofcourse he dosent know subaru is either gm or soon going to become gm rite? And fiat (owns ferrari) is dealing with gm for now but rumored its going to get bought.....

If im not mistaken the curent subarus are based on sabb's and thats gm bud.

Do you really thnk ferrari will ever get bought? If you do then you need to take a closer look at the company. They not only have some of the most successful race cars and drivers even in their sport, but sell some of the most desired cars is the world to the public. Ford and Gm sell to soccer moms and red necks. You really think that ferrari will get bought by one of them? Even further, if GM or ford bought ferrari, would anyone still buy them? probably not 1/2 as much. look at jaguar; stupid ford bought them and turned them into a more luxurious piece of crap than the taurus.

The thing is that they are a very sucsefsfull racing company granted but they are owned by fiat and fiat hasent been doing too well on its own. And if they do buy fiat they most likely will keep the ferrari branch isolated. Mutch like chrysler does with the viper branch and mercedes does with their amg branch.

And fords jaguar maybe a bit overated but if you look at landrover you will discover (pardon the pun) that it started selling way more cars after ford bought them. And aston martin is also ford so are they bad cars all of a sudden?

Also note that GM is one of the bigest automotive company's on the planet and they have allot of weight to swing around. They may or may not buy fiat but they did manage to buy every corean car manufacturer out. Honda is next j/k...LOL

 

Jaguar have gone downhill because their new saloons are essentially rebranded Ford Mondeos. ford have used badge engineering to lower the standard and image of Jaguar. Aston have remained at a higher level as they are not subject to such practices.

The DB7 and the XK8 both used Mondeo switchgear...not something you want to see on a 'luxury' car.

Landrover have excelled recently due to a mixture of Ford's marketing prowess and tightening up its act...getting rid of production quality issues, pushing into new markets (both with the Freelander seeking the younger market and with the Range Rover becoming even more of an upmarket sloane ranger-mobile) and dropping the less-selling models.

Jaguar is one of my favorite automaker of all time. Hence the name. But recently they arent doing too well because they are gered towards older people and they dont apel to me anymore. But I would love to own a 1960's jag with the flat six and a short mufler and big weel and ofcourse in what other color than british racing green.

I am disapointed at ford for not making jaguar a more exiting car and not such a snoby car. I hope they change their ways as their sales arent doing too well and value of the cars is not kept very well. To be honest jags even b4 ford owned them they had major problems with their electronics and were a nightmare to work as they used a combination of sizes both metric and others on their components.

yes the new front is a total rip off of aston martin and mazda. The first time i saw it i couldnt decide whether it was a new mazda or aston martin. alot of people feel the same

I'm sorry but what it boils down to is american cars suck and new 'vettes are the cure for the american man's mid-life crisis. Thats about it.
