TV Shows LOST Season 6

Discussion in 'General' started by AshT, 2 Feb 2010.

?

Will the Lost writers be able to wrap it up properly?

  1. No, they'll screw it up and they won't answer half the questions they scattered about

  2. Yes, it'll be great - the questions will be answered because they have had time to do think about it

  3. Yes it'll be great, but no, the ending will suck / be brilliant in equal measures as it won't answer

i got a feeling that they will answer all the questions that we have, but the ending wont live up to all the hype the series as a whole has created.

Umm, wow - that was very cool. Definite geekfest and nice to see that Damon and Carlton take great pleasure in answering questions sometimes :)

I still don't like the format of them and us, an ep a piece. But there was just too much going on to fit the other guys in. Lovely to not have any alternate timeline crap this week though.

A lot of production went into that episode and I think Richard's character shone.

I'm not sure I want Lost to end :sigh:

    Great ep.

I remember reading the producers categorically saying the island is not pergatory. So it's not quite hell...and obviously not heaven either. The gateway to hell then? It's interesting because this is the first episode where there has been any significant religious theme. I find it amazing how early on they got the black and white theme in. So...wtf with Walt and Michael? Is there story arc over?

I've always liked Richard's character, so yesterday's ep was very satisfying for me.

What a fantastic episode, easily up there with The Constant for me. I love it when the writers focus on personal stories that aren't part of the Jack/Sawyer/Kate triangle, those characters bore me.

Loved all the nods to the fans too, like the reference to the 'Hell Theory' which has been debated since episode 1.

Edit: Did anyone else find that it was much easier to get consumed by the story due to no flash-back breaks?

I think one of the best parts of this episode is when hurley is on the beach talking to someone and Jack wants to know what is going on. And Hurley just tells him to mind his own business.

Great end for Season 6, but terrible ending for the series as a whole.

Everything was far too sentimental and they effectively turned Season 1-5 into a footnote.

I don't believe in a lot of things but I do believe in duct tape.

Probably the best line every spoken in Lost.

    Closure. Feels. Good.

The answer to life, the universe, Lost and everything still evades me.

    Too true.

Season 2 and 3 feel so insignificant now - what I really rue is that there was originally, such an incredible amount of detail to the story in every episode, but as each season went on this reduced further and further. The finale felt so..."generalised".

Such a shame, I think if they stretched season 6 into 2 seasons, and got more meat in regarding the mythology, Lost could have easily been the best TV series ever made.

I think I liked it, but it really frustrated me. I need more answers!

All I hope now is that there aren't any spin-off shows.
