I have been looking for a no frills motherboard that "just works" for a carpc im building. Doesnt have to overclock, needs to have good stock cooling and have lga775. These are the three im looking at.

I really dont want to spend more than around 50 or 60 dollars and it needs to be matx or itx. Thanks for any help.

rig 2 in my sig is going to be used in the car, the mobo is a replacement for the asus.

Are you planning on using all 8GB of that RAM? I hope that they're 2x4GB if you want to go Mini ITX.

I'd say go with that board, even if it is a bit pricey.. If that Gigabyte board comes back in stock, go with that one instead.

If you want to go Micro ATX you'll have a lot more options, but that might be too large for a car. Are you going to be using that PSU and the 8800GT in the car as well?

Opps sorry for not being very clear on the exact hardware specs. Here they are, 250watt dc/dc psu (m4 model), seagate 160gb sata drive, onboard video on the motherboard i get, e6300 1.86ghz, 2gb ddr2 (2sticks) @ 800mhz.

It needs to be somewhat low power for that 250watt dc/dc psu to handle the load so thats why im going with onboard video and leaving my cpu at stock if not undervolting it.

The gigabyte board is in stock right now. For space requirements i have an area large enough to mount a matx in but ITX would give me more room to work with.

Just noticed the Gigabyte isn't mini ITX.. Mini ITX boards are expensive, so idk if you could find a good one in your budget. The Gigabyte micro ATX is decent for the price, it'll do what you want. The Intel I linked to is pretty much the same, just smaller.

I think ill go with the Intel since its ITX and will be easier to install in the location i want. Let me know if you all have any other recommendations. Im going to use a zerotherm nirvana on the e6300 and undervolt it to 1.10vcore. This should keep it pretty cool in the summer months.
